Latest Updates to COVID-19 coverage:

VIRTUAL VISITS

Virtual Visits through Teladoc®, Doctor On Demand™ and AmWell® as of Oct. 1, 2020:

Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, members will pay the cost-share for both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 services up front.
The Virtual Visit cost share will revert to client-specific pre-COVID-19 cost-share.
Non-COVID-19 Virtual Visit coverage at no cost-share ends Sept. 30, 2020.
Members will be reimbursed for Virtual Visit cost-share (copayment, deductible, and coinsurance) for COVID-19 Virtual Visits through the public health emergency.
No action is required to facilitate reimbursement to the member. The provider will be responsible for member reimbursement.
Please note, the provider member reimbursement process may take up to 60 days.

TELEHEALTH

UnitedHealthcare will extend in-network expanded telehealth through Dec. 31, 2020.
Expanded telehealth allows members to connect with their doctor through live, interactive audio-video or audio-only visits. This includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and chiropractic services (audio-visual only).
Non-COVID-19 in-network cost share waiver ends for telehealth services Sept. 30, 2020.

The safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority. With the impact of COVID-19 we want to ensure our employees have access to uninterrupted and affordable medical services. With that in mind, Alden’s leadership has extended the following benefits:

-Waive cost sharing for COVID-19 related Virtual Visits from February 4, 2020 through June 18, 2020.
*Update: This provision has been extended through September 30th, 2020.

-Waive cost sharing for non-COVID-19 related Virtual Visits from March 18, 2020 through June 18, 2020.
*Update: This provision has been extended through September 30th, 2020.

-Waive cost sharing for COVID-19 related telehealth visits from February 4, 2020 through June 18, 2020.
*Update: This provision has been extended through July 24, 2020. Effective July 25th, 2020 through September 30th, 2020 the waiver will only apply to in-network claims.

-Expanding access for medical providers to use telehealth technology from March 18th through June 18th and for behavioral health providers to use this technology from March 31st through June 18th.
*Update: Both medical and behavioral providers will have extended access to use this technology through September 30th, 2020.

-Waive cost sharing for in-network non-COVID-19 related medical telehealth visits from March 31, 2020 through June 18, 2020.
*Update: This provision has been extended through September 30th, 2020.

-Waive cost sharing for in-network behavioral health (including ABA therapy) related Virtual Visits and telehealth visits from March 18, 2020 through June 18, 2020.
*Update: This provision has been extended through September 30th, 2020.

Waive cost-sharing (copayments, coinsurance, deductibles) for eligible inpatient and outpatient medical expenses for covered services, in and out of network when associated with a COVID-19 diagnosis through May 31, 2020.
