United HealthCare - Digital Experience Enhancements
Announcing November Digital Experience Enhancements
Click to Chat feature on UnitedHealthcare app now available
The final rollout of Click to Chat in the UnitedHealthcare app was released Nov. 10. The in-app chat functionality enables members to connect directly with an advocate.
Pharmacy digital disruption member communications
Beginning Nov. 19, OptumRx will email members with email addresses on file to effectively communicate upcoming disruptions and formulary changes. The email is an invitation to view their disrupted medications on the portal – another enhancement. Note: Members will also continue to receive a mailed notification.
The member clicks the Get Started button to be directed to myuhc.com® where they will authenticate with their HealthSafe IDTM. Then they’ll be brought to the Pharmacy and Prescriptions page where they should click Manage Prescriptions. From here, they will see their medicine cabinet, find drug pricing options and can speak to customer service, if needed.
Note: Members will need to create an account if they are not currently registered on myuhc.com.
Decision Support on myuhc.com
Targeting Dec. 10, members will see banners with links on ways to save in the search results for identified care paths. These banners are designed to educate members on different ways they can save on their medical costs. The four different banners include: Urgent Care, Freestanding Facilities, Ambulatory Surgery Facilities and Virtual Visits. (Virtual Visits will only appear for members with these benefits.)
These enhancements are also targeted to launch within the UnitedHealthcare app in first quarter 2021.
Six ways members can save are:
• Viewing cost estimates
• Staying in-network
• Utilizing virtual visits
• Visiting urgent care instead of hospitals for non-emergencies
• Choosing freestanding facilities for imaging procedures
• Choosing ambulatory service centers instead of hospitals
