Scam Alert - Covid-19 Vaccine Fraud

UnitedHealthcare has been made aware of increased COVID-19 vaccine-related fraud and scams recently. Brokers, consultants and customers can report suspected fraud to UnitedHealthcare via the Health Care Fraud and Abuse page on uhc.com.

If someone calls, texts or emails a member, promising access to the COVID-19 vaccine for a fee, the member should not share their personal or financial information.

• No one should ask a member to pay to put their name on a list to get the vaccine.
• No one should ask a member to pay to get early access to a vaccine.

Reporting suspected fraud
Anyone can report suspected fraud to UnitedHealthcare through the Health Care Fraud and Abuse page, and UnitedHealthcare we’ll help file a report if needed. Taking the time to fill out a report could help members and others protect themselves and their financial information.
